[Fox_Tango] FT1000 vs 1000D

The differences between the 1K & 1KD are considerable. I'll not part with my
1KD. Operate one & you'll dream about how friendly it is.  Just a note: Use
a power strip instead of the On/Off  switch. Why? The proximity of the PWR &
MOX switches make for instant disaster if you disconnect the antenna and
accidentally key the transmitter.  Repair: Smoked Driver and or Finals.
Dollar wise about $250 retail. It's a simple repair. For safety, turn all
drive controls CCW (Left) when not in operation. 73, Ron W2WU
