For sale is a Howard Mills complete restoration Collins Gold Dust Twins station available as a package deal. It is available for pickup in Stuart, Florida.  It includes the 75A-4 Receiver, KWS-1 RF Head and Power Supply, and 270G-3 Speaker.  All, expect the speaker, were restored by Howard Mills, W3HM, and are in excellent condition. Complete documentation will be provided.


Collins 74A-4 receiver, s/n 5570, with original Collins 6kHz AM, 3.1kHz SSB and 500Hz CW filters, 4:1 gear-set and knob, and copy of manual.  All restoration and modifications were performed by Howard Mills.

Collins KWS-1 transmitter, s/n 1556, with Power Supply, 4:1 gear-set and knob, original Collins cables, original air hose, and Collins relay.  The cable set is complete and labeled – easy to connect everything together.  Power Supply has a barely noticeable scratch on the removable front panel.  All restoration and modifications were performed by Howard Mills.

Collins 270G-3 Speaker has not been restored.  It shows minimal wear but no dents or scratches and no tears to speaker cone.  Grill has some staining. 
The station has not been on-the-air for several years since moving to Stuart from Ft. Lauderdale and would need a careful start-up. It has been kept in an air conditioned, non-smoking environment. Comes with radio dust covers for both the receiver and RF deck.

$2,950 for everything as listed above, complete with full documentation by Howard Mills.  Individually, the 75A-4 is $1,350, the KWS-1 with Power Supply is $1,750, and the 270G-3 is $250.  Preference given to the discerning ham who buys the complete package.  I will ship the 75A-4 and 270G-3, but not the KWS-1 (pick-up only).  No trades.  Cash or personal check from a ham is fine for payment.
