I am helping a local friend (Don, NL7CO) sell some extra VHF and up gear.
First up is a Kenwood TR-50 1 watt 1.2ghz FM transceiver. This has the
hand mic, power cord, battery pack that probably needs rebuilding, and the
stock rubber duck antenna. This is a FM sized transceiver than can be used
portable-like the Yaesu FT290 and 690, if you are familiar with those. It
comes with the extremely rare 10 watt amplifier, than will boost its power
to 10 watts. Asking $360 plus any shipping.
Second is a Downeast Microwave 222mhz transverter. This is the 60 watt
high powered model, and it comes with an Icom 703plus 10 watt HF and 6
meter radio. The 703 is very similar to the Icom 706 except it is limited
to 10 watts on HF and 6m, has a better receiver, an internal antenna tuner,
and a memory keyer. This is a nice plug and play system that will get you
on 222 all modes, plus give you back up HF and 6m if you want. Of course
the 703 could also be used as an IF rig for additional transverters.
Asking $1000 for the complete setup. Would sell the transverter
separately. The 703 has the hand mic, power cord, manual and original box.
Delivery to Dayton is possible, as well as an in-person deal between
Oklahoma City and Dayton (I-44 to I-70). A m2 7 element 222mhz beam is
available for a very good price for an in-person deal.
