I have for sale a Yaesu FT900 HF radios, which is considered by many to be
the best HF mobile radio ever made. It was also the first HF radio where
you could remote mount the faceplate, and the microphone plugs into the
faceplate, so you don't need a microphone extension cable. This rig is
also great to use mobile because it has no menus. Everything you need is
on the front panel!

Here is what different hams say about the FT900:

The FT900 has an internal antenna tuner installed, and this is a real
antenna tuner, not the sorry excuses for tuners they put in the current
radios. This tuner will load up about anything. It loads up my dipole on
bands that I have rarely seen an internal tuner work on. It also has a
built in keyer, speech processor, the optional 500hz CW filter and the
optional 2.6khz crystal SSB filter. The display on this rig is fairly
large and easy to see while mobile, and it will display both power out and
SWR at the same time. Few mobile rigs do that. The noise blanker on this
rig is excellent. It takes out the line noise I have at my QTH-fortunately
PSO has found the offending sources and is working on them.

This radio will also work nicely as a base station radio. It has dedicated
band buttons for each band, and also can do direct frequency entry. It has
been modded to cover all HF frequencies for transmission, but of course you
would only use this mod to get on 60 meters, or for driving a VHF or UHF
transverter. It also has a great manual IF notch that removes carriers and
other noises on the bands.

Here is more information about the FT900:

The radio I am selling has the optional CW and SSB filters installed, comes
with the microphone and power cable. It has one strange quirk. On 80m
SSB, when you use PTT, the relay chatters constantly for some reason. It
only does this on 80m SSB, not on the other bands, and only if you use PTT
on that band. When you use VOX or MOX everything is fine.

I am asking $400 plus shipping for it, and can take paypal/check/MO.
