For Sale

This stuff is all from my shack, selling due to lack of space, lack of use or sheer disinterest! All prices plus mailing cost.

Western Electric RU Receiver Coils. 7 coils for $60 as follows:
 Range D 850-1330KC, Marked RU-17
Range F 2040-3000KC  RU-12
Range G 2545-3000KC RU-12
Range H 4001-6000KC RU-17
Range K Not sure of freq... RU-17
Range M 5200-7700KC RU-12
Range M 6000-9050KC RU-12

Kenwood TS-430S with hand mic, power cord and manual copies. This seems to work well. I think it is fine but I did not do comprehensive testing. The case has a lot of scratches so it's no beauty queen. Also, where the power cord attaches, the small hasp or edge that the cord is supposed to clip on to keep it tight has been broken off. I was thinking of just using a dab of gorilla glue to keep the cord secure for base station use. As-is. Cheap but good HF rig. $250

Canon A2 35mm film camera. This was one step down from the top of the line when Canon made film cameras. It focuses great and makes perfect images. This is not a cheap, plastic "Rebel" camera. Best of all, it fits the current crop of Canon EOS lenses. So you can add film to your portfolio cheaply. $55. Completely tested by shooting a dozen rolls of film through it. Working perfectly. With manual copy.

Ten Tec Model 247 Open Wire and balanced line antenna tuner. 160-10 meters. 100W continuous, 200W intermittent. Nice looking and good working. $39

Another Ten Tec Model 247 tuner. This one has some odd corrsion on the aluminum and some rust on the rear lug nuts. But it seems to work just as well as the one above. $25

Military "Cannon" connectors. 8-12 pounds of mostly used military "Cannon" connectors. Not all connectors are complete but most are. Mostly low-pin count types that were probably used for power or audio connections. Medium flat rate box stuffed completely full. $42 shipped to your door.

Military Keyer KY-65/ARA-26. I think these were used for IFF or some such. They are motorized and have a plastic code wheel that rotates across some leaf-type switched. You break off the tangs on the code sheel to encode your message. Then mount the wheel n the motor, apply power and it sends whatever is on the wheel. There are 2 of these. One is complete and even has 2 extra wheels. But all 3 wheels in this one have some message already encoded. The other one is not complete--the platen that holds the wheel is missing. It is otherwise complete and best of all has an almost untouched code wheel that you can use to make your own message. This is a goofy but fun gadget to play with. Both units fit into a medium flat rate box. $42 shipped to your door. Don't show them to the wife.
Since I have no Arc-5 here, I am not sure about this one....this looks like the 4 connectors from either an MD-7 modulator or from one of the command set racks. So someone stripped the connectors out, left them wired together and here they are. They are male connectors--with pins. And they have the locking rings. There are 4 connectors in the bunch--one 3-pin, one 6-pin, one 12-pin and one 18-pin. Maybe someone can use this set to bring back a modified rack or modulator. $15 shipped to your door.
Tube socket test adapters, NOS, These are the ones where you plug the tube into the adapter and the adapter into the socket so you can take your test measurements from on top of the chassis. Absolutely indispensible and I love them. But how in the hell I accumulated so many of them I will never know. I have several of each of these to sell.

Octal tube socket test adapter, NOS: $9

9 pin tube socket test adapter, NOS: $9

7 pin tube socket test adapter, NOS: $8

All 3 test adapters: $28 mailed to your door.

Heathkit HW-12 80 meter SSB monobander. This is the one with the cream-color plastic knobs, not the later "A" model that has the green knobs. One knob is wrong. Otherwise looks good. Untested and as-is. $45

Military 1962-vintage Sound Powered Head-Chest Set Type SA-3C. This is like new in the original box. The cosmoline wrapper has been opened. But this is near-mint. $15

Hupco CW40/50 (hey--that is what the label says...) homebrew 40 meter CW transmitter. 50W tube type in unidentifiable military cabinet. Neatly made. Everything is labeled. Xtal-control with FT-243s installed as follows: 7125-7130-7135-7140-7145-7103-7105-7107-7110-7115-7120-7040-7045-7050-7055. Seems to work (powers up and does not smoke). I have done no detailed testing so this is strictly as-is. $69 (which is about the value of the crystals alone)

Allison CD-9 vintage audio speakers (pair), working, grilles cracked but not objectionable. These sound okay but I would replace the crossover caps. Pickup only in Pittsburgh, PA. $200/pair

Echophone EC-1A receiver. Worn, old-looking paint but should clean up well. One knob is not original. No back. Otherwise complete and original. $35

Homebrew CW 40 meter TX and RX in one ex-military cabinet (the cabinet is the old early WWII TBY walkie-talkie but it is gutted). The RX is the famous "Neophyte" direct conversion rig as published in QST. TX is QRP--a single-bard based kit of some sort that I have not tracked down. FT-243 Crystaled for 7060-7115-7110-7130-7140-7038-7040-7042-7048-7046-7108-7106-7044-7036. This thing seems well-made. Believe it or not, the RX runs on old Polaroid film-pack batteries! And equally unbelievable, it comes with many good ones--probably a lifetime supply. TX requires external supply not included. RX works. TX untested. With original Neophyte article copy. $75 Also found a small box of 2 unused neophyte boards and parts to build one more RX. That will be included.

Collins 17L2 VHF aircraft radio transmitter. Nice physical shape. No dynamotor. I believe this is fresh out of refurbishment by Allen Aircraft Radio Inc. and it comes in the original Allen Radio shipping carton. $30

Hickok 203 VTVM with probes. No glass in meter face (meter moves though and seems good). Elsewise in good physical shape. Needs love and restoration. $20

Sylvania Polymeter 302 VTVM. Needs cleaned and restored but pretty unique among VTVMs. Untested and assumed unworking. Comes with all the correct probes except AMPS.  This is a LARGE VTVM. $25

Yaesu spinner knob. Modern, weighted spinner knob from some Yaesu rig. Perfect for your receiver or transmitter project. $11

All prices plus shipping. Pickup free in Pittsburgh, PA.
