[ForSale-Swap] For Sale: Yaesu FT-726R with 3 modules

I've been purchasing too much equipment fm two different estate sales & need to sell some of my existing equipment that is now surplus to my needs.  Available is a Yaesu FT-726R which includes modules for 2m (144-147.99998MHz), 70cm (430-439.99998MHz) & a rare 10m (28.0-29.99998MHz).  This is a multi-band, all mode xcvr in very gud condx.  It includes satellite modes allowing for full duplex cross-band operation as well as the optional 600Hz CW narrow filter, MH-1B8 hand mic w/ scanning buttons & 9-10 ft fused DC cable for 13.8VDC operation.  There is no CTCSS tone unit or standard AC power cord with the dummy 4 pin Jones plug that shorts out a couple of pins when using the internal pwr supply.  I've always used it w/ a small external pwr supply.

 

Also included is a photo copy of the operating manual & a cable that comes out of the bottom that can plug into an external sequencer.  I modified the "TX Inhibit" in both the 2m & 70cm modules since I used external pwr amps & mast mounted preamps which required a sequencer.  I can remove this mod if requested but the cable plugs into a shorting plug so it functions normally without a sequencer but it's a nice option to keep.  Manual shows mods for sequencer.

 

All modules put out the spec'd 10 watts.  I did notice that the gain on 2m CW was a little lower than on 70cm when switching between bands but never noticed any rcv problems becuz external preamps were used.

 

Over the years, w/ this xcvr I've worked a lot of 2m & 70cm DX including tropo, MS, CW EME & satellites when AO-10, AO-13, FO-20 & FO-29 were all active.  External condx is very clean (abt an 8 out of 10) & all panel lites work.  Hv 8 photos available upon request.  

 

If you decide to use the internal pwr supply, I'd suggest using a variac to bring up the 115VAC slowly to reform the electrolytic which has never bn used due to the external pwr supply.  I don't hv the original box but will bubble wrap extremely well & double box.  Asking $450 OBO + shipping & insurance fm zip 86323.  Paypal accepted.
