The R8 was Drake's last HF desktop receiver. This is the early version 
(neither A nor B model) but still with synchronous detection. The 
receiver and matching speaker are in nearly perfect cosmetic condition 
and function perfectly. The VHF converter is installed and also 
functions perfectly. Included are the original user's and service 
manuals. The service manual is in the original Drake binder.

The asking price for the complete package is $850 not including shipping 
from Northern California.
