I'm selling a Vertex Standard (Yaesu) VX-1700 HF Base/Portable/Mobile radio. It 
receives from 30 KHx-30 MHz and transmits ANYWHERE between 1.6 MHz and 30 MHz in 
USB/LSB, AM, CW or Digital modes (amateur radio or commercial license required 
to transmit). Radio has built in Selcall, Telcall, GPS position reporting and 
ALE. I bought this one in Fall 2006 and it loaned it to Steve, N2CKH in Fall 
2007 for software development so it was actually used very little.  *Any 
potential buyer should be aware of incompatability of it's ALE feature with 
many MILALE radios and PCALE and MARS ALE, there are timing issues. The radio 
can be used "channelized" with 200 pre-programmed channels or as a standard VFO 
controlled set with an included optional plug. 125-100 watt output gives world 
wide HF comms possibilities.  Complete with power cable, *ALE (actually 2 ea 
ALE-1 boards)  and GPS position board options, mic and copies of programming 
software+manuals.
