Hi all, I have a few Motorola MTS2000's version 3 with full keypad already programmed for the New England area on 900 MHz 33cm frequencies, these look good and work fine. So far batteries seem pretty good to great but I can't guaranty them. If you have the same series radio and would rather not have the battery, I'll knock something off the price for that, I use my MTS2000 almost daily and another battery sure won't disappoint me. I only have one or 2 chargers available. I'm asking $175 for just radio, stubby antenna and battery. Of course I'll talk on the prices a little. The extra charger/s can be had for another $25 added to the radio price if still available, I know I'll sell one charger I'm back and forth on the second one but for the right offer knowing me I will. I have one MTS2000 that for whatever reason wont' do talk around, other than that works fine, I'm thinking $125 for that one but will talk I wont' go ridiculous but that can be had for a better price though I know there are folks out there who know how to fix that on those radios. I'd have it done but I have a bunch of these I'm trying to get rid of I'll let someone have it cheaper and do what they want. Every now and then you just get one like that but out of the 14 or so I've picked up to help get people on that band and resold, that's the first time I've seen it. I know this band is popular in the New England area and in CA and some other areas of the country. Not really looking for trades but if you're compelled to try it go for it.
Also, as I'm trying to settle on just this series of motorola radio, I may have a Kenwood TK-481 900 MHz hand held I'll let go of, personally I like that one better but have more accessories for the MTS2000, mt2000, ht1000 series of motorola radios so make me an offer on the TK-481 if you'd like that one, I also have a TK-380 Kenwood I'd gladly trade for a UHF HT1000 or similar radio.
Email n1umj at arrl.net with any and all questions, all prices don't include shipping. Of course I'll talk I just need some room and don't need this many hand helds around, 3 or 4 for the band is enough, I don't need around 10.
