[ForSale-Swap] For Sale: TenTec Titan 425 Amp

  I own two TenTec Titan 425 amplifiers.  They are simply excellent.  In 
order to make room for future needs, I am selling one of them.  The 
serial numbers are 41A10069 and 81A10209.  Either one is available.

These amps cover 10-160M including the WARC bands and output 1500W 
easily with 35-55W drive.  Each uses two 3CX800A7s in the final.  A 
major feature of these amps is the separate RF deck and remote power 
supply.  The RF deck only weighs 14 lbs so that you don't have to be an 
Olympic weight lifter in order to maintain it, and it takes up very 
little desk space.  The power supply weighs about 55 lbs.

The amps also operate full QSK.  (I don't operate QSK so that I can't 
absolutely guarantee that the vacuum relays are working, but I have no 
reason to believe that they are not.)

Although these amps have required very little maintenance or repairs 
since I've had them, they are pleasure to work on when it's necessary. 
Almost all the wires and connectors are numbered and the numbers are 
shown on the schematics, so that tracing wires is not the chore that it 
sometimes can be.

I've had these amps for 8-9 years.  All the filter electrolytic 
capacitors were replaced in each amp just after I obtained them.  I 
typically alternate amps and power supplies about every six months to 
keep the capacitors from deteriorating.  I have replaced the 
incandescent dial lights with 28V LEDs.

One of the amps is currently in use in my shack, and I can demo either 
one for a prospective buyer.  I would prefer a pickup in SW VA (near 
Blacksburg) or will meet someone halfway.   If that's not possible, I 
will ship with separate packages for the transformer, power supply, RF 
deck and final tubes.  The price is $1,800 for whichever one you prefer.
