The Oscillator modules are little rectangular
metal cans with "legs".
1.8432MHz
3.686400MHz
7.2MHz
10.000MHz
14.31818MHz
18.0000MHz
20.725000MHz
24.000MHz
28.322MHz
49.884MHz
OK, so here was the scheme ...
Build a QRP Power-SWR Meter Kit with the output
wired to a relay-driver connected to a coaxial
switch. [Relay-driver and switch not included.]
The normal position of the switch is to a dummy
load. (Dummy load not included)
Use small oscillator modules with a buffer-amp
stage for each band to provide the necessary
test-signal to measure SWR. [Oscillator modules
only, no board or buffer-amp.]
Each band has an antenna specifically optimized
for that band so that no tuner is required. (A
multiband antenna is OK so long as it is truly
flat-swr for all bands used, and not because of
a resistor in the design!) [Antennas not incl.]
When the bandswitch is turned to the antenna
of choice the oscillator is actvated and the
SWR meter measures the return signal.
If the SWR is "safe" (in this case the LED for
a low SWR is powered and that signal is processed
into the relay-driver) then the relay switches
from dummy load to antenna.
The idea was a error-proof way to defend an amp
from being switched into the wrong antenna, or
an antenna/coax system that had been damaged.
[Amp. not included ... giggle.]
WDYT?
