Hello All,
I've gotten bit by the serious homebrewing bug, and have found that I don't have enough room for my own projects at the radio desk so I am having to let a few things go to clear out some room for my own creations.
I use all of these rigs, they all work, and are described as accurately as I can. All prices are with shipping included anywhere CONUS. Will only ship CONUS, and I accept PayPal:
Kenwood TS-830S - Not the "Gold" edition. Great rig. Electrically nearly perfect with the only issue I have had with it is that the bandswitch coupler to the PA compartment is going soft. The plastic shaft coupler will need to be replaced at some point in the future. Was going to do it, but I'll leave that to someone else. Instructions here: http://www.k4eaa.com/couplers.htm (A replacement coupler is availible from Ken, K4EAA as well). Cosmetically there are only a few minor scuffs from normal use. I have it's original box, and will send it along as well. $375 shipping included.
Kenwood TS-820S - This is my second favorite of the Kenwood Hybrids (my personal favorite being the 520.. which I am keeping). When I got this one it had a few issues. The digital display didn't work, it had low output, was weak on receive, and had a soft bandswitch like the 830S described above does. I fixed everything except for the soft bandswitch. Since I got it, the light bulbs over the mechanical frequency dials have burned out, and I have not replaced them. Electrically/mechanically, the lamps and bandswitch being a bit soft is all that there is to report. A great rig that I really enjoy using! Cosmetically, there is the usual wear along with some lettering placed on the top cover at the rear by the previous owner to indicate where selected connectors and controls were located. $350 shipping included.
Kenwood SM-220 Station Monitor - Good condition. Does not have the BS-8 installed. Cosmetically about a 7.5 out of 10. $200 shipping included
Knight-Kit R-100A - Electrically/mechanically 8 out of 10. Could use an alignment/calibration. BFO/MVC/AVC/ANL knob has a fracture in it, and is loose on the switch shaft. Still serves its function, but the knob will need to be replaced. Cosmetically, not the best, but not the worse. Usual wear and tear, and a bit dirty. $100 shipped
