After years of designing and building projects, I'm still continuing to 
unwind a ton of items surplus to my current interests.

SuperSCAF filter Semi-kit

In April 1988, QST published a high performance audio filter called 
SuperSCAF (switched capacitor audio filter) that later was manufactured 
commercially as a high performance  accessory filter, used in the Index 
Labs QRP Plus etc.

The heart of this audio filter were flexible, high performance AMI S3528 
(low pass) and S3529 (high pass) ICs. Within these chips is a 7th order 
elliptical filter , clock generator, programmable frequency divider and 
a pair of buffer amplifiers. Just a few external parts (e.g. capacitors, 
resistors and a 3.58MHz color-burst crystal) were required. A key
feature of the filter were the ability, using BCD rotary thumb wheel 
switches, to digitally select the filter cut-off frequencies and 
bandpass (i.e. 0327 = 300 - 2700 Hz, 0408 = 400 - 800 Hz etc.).

Additionally, with the 7th order elliptical response, the attenuation 
was quite steep (greater than 50dB at 1.3 times cut-off frequency) 
producing a filter with a great shape factor.

I put together a semi-kit to build the SuperSCAF filter. Each kit 
includes a S3528B, S3529B,  4 1/2 digit BCD rotary thumb wheel switch 
3.58 MHz crystal and copy of QST article, you just add a hand full of 
capacitors, resistors and power. Filter can be integrated into an 
existing chain or by adding an audio amplifier, as an out board accessory.

L Network Antenna tuner Semi-kits

L Networks can tune both high (C on hi Z side) or low impedance (C on 
low Z side) loads.

QRP Version: Includes (3) section small air variable (330 pF per 
section, 1 3/16" D x 1 3/16" W x 9/16" H w/ 1/4" dia. x 3/8" L shaft, 12

QRO Version: Includes Hammarlund air variable (250 pF per section, 3" D 
x 1 3/4" W x 1" 1/8" H (plates meshed) w/ 1/4" dia. x 1/2" L shaft, 11
position ceramic rotary switch (1 1/2" round x 7/8" D with 1/4" dia. x 
3/8" L shaft, Amidon T200-2 toroid core, 5' #12 magnetic wire. This

Trimmer Capacitor Bundle
