Hi,
This week one of the trees supporting part of my "antenna farm" came down,
causing a little damage to the wire antennas (as well as no longer providing
a support). That as well as the constant "pfff, pfff, pfff" in my regular
HF rig as the beacon keys (do to little spacing between antennas) has
prompted me to again take KO6BB/B off the air.
So, I figure that it's high time I reworked parts of the "farm" anyway,
everything takes money :-(
The RCI-2950 is set up specifically for beacon use, presently operating on
28.2915 MHz. The easily reversible mods (and I'll remove them, returning
the radio to normal configuration if you wish) includes. . .
1. The Speaker has been replaced with an internal, quiet (ball bearing)
cooling fan that is an EXACT fit for the speaker holes, no holes added for
the fan. (I'll send the speaker with the radio, OR reinstall it at your
request).
2. The PTT and CW key lines, as well as a 12 Volt line is brought out the
back of the radio for direct connection of the Freakin' Beacon keyer"
(included).
3. The "Freakin' Beacon" is nicely built in a good looking case, and is
mounted on the bottom side of the radio with extra strength Velcro (again,
may be easily removed). . . This unit is easily reprogrammed for callsign,
message, etc from your computer. Full information on the F-B may be found
here.

NOTE: Although I had the display lamps dimmed to about half brightness,
they went out about a week or so ago. At this price I'm not going to bother
replacing them as I'd have to order them. Radio works fine without them
though!
INCLUDES: Factory Mike, Mobile mounting bracket and owners manuals
(including the one for the F-B).
ASKING $120.00 postal money order or Cashier's check, which INCLUDES
SHIPPING in the USA.
Pictures may be seen here.

NOTE 1: In the short time I've had this unit on the air it's been heard in
New Zealand, S America, East Coast of the USA, Canada and all up and down
the West Coast.
NOTE 2: IF you can pick it up (saving me my shipping costs) I will INCLUDE
a very nice Antron A-99 10M vertical antenna WITH the optional groundplane
kit, making this a complete 10M station (minus the coax which I want to
keep).
