I have a very nice Johnson Viking Ranger II, that was built by my
father-in-law (W9AMU), an electrical engineer, in the early 1960's. It's been in
storage since the late '70's.
Faceplate is beautiful, and there's absolutely no sign of rust or
corrosion on faceplate, cabinet, or chassis.
All controls work smoothly and as they should and there is no free play or
backlash to VFO.
Power cord is still very supple and is crack-free.
Faceplate is exceptionally clean and there's no indication of any rub marks
 or lettering damage.
I had a friend in Fort Wayne check all of the tubes on an old Hickock tube
tester. Eleven were tested for mutual conductance and four were tested
only for shorts. Ten of the eleven tested beyond the minimum Gm and one
tested bad, the 6146. The 6146 was replaced with a good used 6146B.
I have not applied power to this transmitter, and would much rather leave
that to its new owner.
If you might have questions or would like to have photos of any sort,
please just ask.
If you're not familiar with the Ranger II, it puts out about 40-50 watts
CW/AM and covers 6-160 meters.
The original Factory Owner's/Operating Manual is included.

Including very secure, museum-quality double packing & shipping to the
Lower-48, I'm asking $400.
It'll be shipped in two containers, with all tubes foam packed in a
separate box.
I can also offer to meet you within a couple of hours of Fort Wayne,
Indiana, if you might be able to avoid shipping. If delivery is arranged, then
the selling price would be $350.
