What a beautiful and versatile piece of classic gear!

The R-389 appeared to need lots of cleaning and likely has seen no use
or maintenance for many decades.  There was a SB-230 at one table which
was claimed to be working - I opened it and several sections of the air
variable were melted and the ceramic tube blackened on that side ...

There was a homebrew 811A HF amp needing a power supply outside,
asking $65., probably could have been had for $50.   Really tempting for
experimentation ...
