40 Foot Free-Standing Rohn HBX-40 Tower
This should be a really good opportunity for someone to have a very nice
Heavy-Duty, self-supporting tower - - - for a small investment.
Overall condition is quite good.
Any rust on this tower is minor surface rust. It’s very sound and of
very solid condition.
This tower was purchased new in the Spring of 1989, and we had it in use
outdoors for almost twelve years.
Since the Fall of 2001, it has been stored inside our garage. I kept
thinking I would erect it after our moving here, but now I’m unable to climb
any longer. If I can't do my own climbing, I’d much rather that someone
else put it to use.
This is not the standard BX-40 Rohn tower - - - it is the Heavy-Duty
version of that, the HBX-40. Face width of the bottom section is about two
feet across.
Both a rotor plate and a thrust-bearing plate are in place.
All five sections, each eight-feet long, will nest inside each other for
fairly easy transport. Total weight of all sections nested together is
approximately 250 lbs.
This is strictly for pick-up, and we are located about fifteen miles South
of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The only consideration for shipping this tower, would be your arranging to
have a shipper pick it up. If that might be the case, then I’ll make
sure that all five sections are nested together and very thoroughly strapped
and secured together.
Questions, or if you'd like photographs, please just ask. I can be
reached here at home in Ossian, Indiana at 260-622-7040, or to this e-mail.
Selling price for this tower is $250. Thank you, Ron Hensel, K9ZE
