Collins Gear for Sale from a SK estate of an engineer who worked for
Collins and assisted with the USAF SSB switchover took place. He was a
USAF Colonel and pilot from WWII, so he helped convince the AF to
switch. He was a personal friend of Art Collins and Gen. Curtis LeMay.

Complete "S" line station consisting of:
1)75S2 receiver, S/N 1014, has wide preselector band and extra tuning
option. Works, in very nice shape except for 1 - 3/16 hole drilled out
on top, cannot see why that was done., no extra sub chassis installed. I
have the extra mod sheet in the original manual but I think the factory
did the S2 mod.
2) I have a very nice wooden presentation case with his name and call on
a brass plaque on top with the CP-1 crystals inserted in a numbered
black phenolic sheet inside. A few crystals are not there, but I guess
they are in the radio already.
3)32S1 transmitter , very nice, no visible defects S/N 16
4)516F2 power supply/speaker, very nice S/N0016
5)312B4 Phone patch, wattmeter, very nice, has one mod but it can be
reversed , a small phenolic plate with a pot on the back for external
speaker volume, S/N 56520
6)30L1 amplifier very nice, S/N unknown
"A" line items:
1)312A2 Station console and
2)SC-101 control box. I have the lumiline lamp and shield , I think I
have the bottom half of the raceway. All are very nice, almost perfect
as fas as cosmetics go, I did not try them out.
1) R-390 w/TM , I tried this radio out and it seems to work fine, tuning
is nice and smooth and stable against WWV,there is some regeneration
when the af gain is advanced too far but I think it is from the extra
audio transformer on the back. it has the proper meters and covers.
Unfortunately, the name plate is gone and so far I have not found it,
but I suspect it is all Collins because that is is how he was with
things. I have not taken the covers off to look inside and I am not too
well versed in R-390's anyway. there is an audio transformer on the back
as well as a relay, and a spare coax jack, that all come off. The plug
and cord are proper, but there are no tools, at least I have not found
any yet.
Also have a very nice and like new Swan 500CX w/ 508 vfo and 110vac and
#14c 12vdc power supplies, all cords and manual and mic.
I would like to sell all the Collins gear to one person to keep it
together. I WIIL NOT separate the S line station, so don't ask.
I will not respond to any email from any other service except your own
ISP's, just don't try. I will not respond to anyone who is not a
licensed amateur radio operator good on the FCC database. This is too
much money and I have too little time for, this is not an attitude
talking , just experience.
Any form of payment is ok with me , except a (Western Union scam), I
reserve the right to add for cc or other processing cost like PayPal, etc.
Can pack and ship world wide from 78013, but all costs are extra and
will not be included in the price.
I have not set a firm price but have been doing my homework and I should
say that I don't work or sell too cheaply.
Lots of other heathkit, etc. I am working on inventory. My wife will
have all the books on her website. www.booksforcomfort.com
I will have this stuff on my site with picture(s) if it is not sold soon.
I am taking the "S" line station to Austin Summerfest for sale or trade.
