Well, I manage a large yahoogroup (950+) which isn't ham related. I often allow some good natured Off Topic posting because it helps break up the day-to-day monotony. It would take a lot more than what has happened here today for me to moderate/ban anyone from the list. 
 
Unsubscribing from any list because one is intolerant of a few hours of humorous Off Topic posts is , IMHO, just petty and reminiscent of spoiled childrens behavior.
 
I've been in this group for a couple years and have never posted until today. I've ignored the numerous posts of a group of individuals who have made their hobby into a business judging from the number of items they continually offer for sale.  When I see those individuals with something to sell, I just hit the DEL key - no whining about it from me. Takes longer to whine about things than hitting DEL key.
 
Just my 2 cents worth and no problem if I get tossed off list for my comments.
