For what it's worth, I can think of at least a couple of regular posters who would meet the definition of "Home Hobby Businesses".  I don't mind those types of posts at all, and I am guessing that neither do most on this reflector.  This can be an expensive hobby, and I don't mind a bargain irregardless of where or who it comes from.  And what is wrong in helping a fellow Ham earn a little extra to support his hobby.  

As to the humorous posts, I like them too.  It never hurts to ease the everyday trials and disappointments of modern day life with a little levity!  It's not as if this list is so overcrowded that a few off topic posts are going to cause a traffic jam!     
Just my opinion, your mileage may vary, etc.
