The subject of a certain ham's "commercial" posts has been beaten to death. 
Give the gentleman a break: while it appears he did violate the rules, unlike 
a lot of politicians he owned up to it:

intention at all. And to the administrators who I may have caused grief by my 
lack of insight.<

I also seem to recall that he may have been laid off from his job recently and 
thus may be trying to occupy his time and provide a little income stream....

As far as I'm concerned, the matter is settled - and anyone who continues to 
pound on the issue should be penalized for a "late hit".
