The TS-497 series is the military equivalent of the Measurements Model 80 
signal generator and are more ruggedly built.  They cover 2 MHz to 400 MHz 
in 6 ranges, are well shielded, and have an accurately calibrated attenuator 
(piston type) that goes below 0.1 microvolts output.  The oscillator tube is 
the acorn 955.  After about 30 minutes warm up the frequency is pretty 
stable but the dial accuracy is not that good.
