Ive had many radios shipped from Canada both CP and Puralator without
excessive costs.
UPS and FedWrex are often higher.
Granted its a bit more than within the USA but all the items I bought sold
for considerably less than down here also.
You can also consider having it shipped to another Canadian location that
may be an easy drive.
There is no duty on USA built radios coming home.
