The Naval Air Museum at NAS Pensacola has a recreation of a WW-II
aircraft carrier "Island", plus portions of the flight deck and other
ships spaces. They are currently trying to put together an exhibit of a
portion of Radio Central. They are in need of an RBA, and several RBB
and RBC receivers. They do not all need to be functioning. I currently
have an inoperative RBB to be used, however it is missing several pieces
to make the front panel look cosmetically correct. I am looking for a
frequency bezel with attachment screws, a frequency tuning knob (the
large knob with the handle), one front panel "mushroom style" knob used
to pull the radio out of its case, a front panel Decibels "Input" meter
and a front panel "DC Volt" meter, and 9 panel thumbscrews used around
the panel edge to secure the radio to its case. The meters do not need
to be operative, these parts are being use to restore a receiver that
will be used in a non-operative position where visitors can twiddle with
the knobs.
We are also looking for operative/inoperative RBA, RBB and RBC's and
power supplies as well, for the actual operating position. Any source of
parts for this project would be much appreciated!
