For Sale: Boatanchor Flotsam and Jetsam. All prices plus shipping.
Teletype TG-34 5-level paper tape reader. All original, nice, with cables. Green, Western Union color. Add oil and read away. $35
Teletype TG-34 5-level paper tape reader. Ham-modified with toggle power switch and maybe other minor mods. Untested. $10
Utah HS-1 bookshelf speakers. Ported design. Cabinets are pretty good but will need some cleanup and minor veneer work. Untested and as-is. Due to size and weight, shipping is impractical so pick up only n Pittsburgh, PA. $20/pair
The original TV remote control--Zenith Space Commander 400. Should clean up to excellent condition. $12
American D-5-T microphone on fat round black bakelite desk stand that says “American Microphones” in big letters. Chrome mic with bullet shape, dynamic, heavy. Probably 1930’s vintage. American was a Los Angelse-based company. Both mic and the metal part of the desk stand have some small areas of pitting on the chrome. It is not objectionable as long as you don’t look closely at the mic. Otherwise, the chrome is nice. The cord that is on it is not right. It physically fits but has a male end. The mic also has a male end. So you will have to find the right connector for this cord or another cord. $46/mic and stand.
Heathkit IM-103 Line Voltage Monitor. From the 2-tone tan series. Looks good. Works. $15
Heathkit HM-2102 forward/reverse power meter. Needs a cleaning but will clean up to excellent condition. Untested. $22
30 FT-243 crystals, almost all in the ham bands: 3717, 3725, 7065.2, 7040, 7062, 7172, 7250, 7100, 7239, 7173, 3825, 7125, 7175, 7075, etc. These are mounted on a wooden home-madee stand with holes drilled for maybe 150 FT-243s. The wooden stand is not especially well-made but t is useful. Also included is a cloth pad from some military crystal case with holes drilled for 2 rows of 16 FT-243s. Finally, there is a couple HC-6U crystals in Texas Crystal boxes. $39/all
34 issues of G. E. Ham News from V3.#3 (May-June 1948) through v14#4 (July-August, 1959) with many gaps in the range. No duplicates. $39/all
G.E. Ham News, v10#2, V10#4 and V11#2 (2 copies). $1 each.
M. C. Jones 262 power and SWR indicator with 261.1 inline coupler and original manual. $35
Mastercrafters Model 191 24-hour analog clock (with hands) with world map dial in center--not sure what all that is about. Works and keeps good time . AC-line operated. $14
3 vacuum caps: 1 Jennings USCL 250-3S, 3000V. I think the shaft is frozen on this cap. 1 ICE MC-50 fixed vacuum cap, and one other fixed vacuum cap with no markings. $15/all 3 caps.
Small 1930’s audio amplifier or modulator. This uses 4 tubes: 80, 2A5, 56 and 57. It has a Merit A-2900 4W single or PP universal output transformer. The whole thing is on a 7x9x2 black wrinkle chassis with no provision for a cover. Controls on front chassis apron are on/off toggle, pilot lamp, volume and 1/4 inch mic input. Line cord and output connect to strip on rear chassis apron. Construction practices are first-rate. It could be homebrew but it could also be commercial. Untested and as-is. $22. Probably can ship in one of the new, larger USPS flat rate boxes for $12.99 plus $1 tracking.
Red RCA Tubes Banner. This is a 44 inch square red wall-hanging banner with white lettering and a big RCA meatball logo in the center. Around all 4 edges in block lettering it says “We Use RCA Tubes”. Above the meatball, it says “RCA Television Tubes” and below the logo it says “The Picture of Quality” in script lettering. There are several small tears in the banner and it is dirty in spots. But is still looks pretty good overall. $69
Another red RCA Tubes Banner. Same as above but with lots more holes and tears and dirt. $29
Solar Capacitor Exam-Eter Model CE. This is a 1941-vintage capacitor checker that probably predates the Sprague TO-series. The idea is similar: Attach the cap, turn the dial until the meter peaks (this uses a meter instead of the TO-series tuning eye tube), then read the capacity off of the dial. It can also be used to measure insulation resistance, cap leakage, resistance of any kind, and act as a VTVM. Paint and panel are iin vry nice shape. The chrome around the panel edges has some pitting and needs cleaned. The leather handle is broken and mostly gone. With original manual and usage card. $36
Triplett Model 3490 Laboratory Transistor Analyzer. This is the argest an heavist device of its kind I have ever seen--it’s about the size and weight of a large Hickok tube tester. The manual sez that it measures leakage current at both emitter and collector junctions, Alpha, both DC and AC beta, saturation voltage, resistance and punch-thru, as well as your basic diodes and rectifiers. It can also be used to measure “Tetrode Transistors”--interesting terminology. It has 3 4 inch meters and what looks like 3 separate power supplies. Various connectors for items under test are provided including a socket for TO-3 types. Appears to be working fine. Looks like new inside. The outside has some suffs and scrapes bt looks very good. With original manual. $79
197 NOSB Mallory twist-lock electrolytic capacitors. Mostly FP-type. Mostly high voltage with lots of 450V caps here. There are a few of the taller, old-fashioned kind that bolt to the chassis with a big nut. Some of the boxes are rough but mostly they are all nice, though a bt dirty. $99 for 197 caps plus a few loose, unboxed ones.
Five NOSB Philmore variable caps: 1-365mmf single-gang, 2 420mmf midgets and 2 model 1949G tiny single-gang caps. $15/all
Three Hammarlund SA-40 2nd det input coils for a receiver. They have what looks like amilitary contract number: 7236-PH-43. These are large-size IF cams with variable caps in the top and bottom and a plate lead coming out one side. Two of the 3 are NOSB. One of them looks new and is in its box, but it has been tampered with, maybe to remove a part or ???. $15/all
Thanks for looking.
