(From my memory)
Selsyn made motors that were used to actuate their auto transformers.
Voltage was too low and the motor would up the output to compensate.
Later they came up with a box that would step the motor or run it at a
specific speed. They were used to meter fluids , machine parts and
other applications that are now commonly implemented using a 1,000 other
motor control manufactures.
It is a very old motor controller and thus qualifies as a Boatanchor.
