After years of designing and building projects, I'm still continuing to 
unwind a ton of items surplus to my current interests. Before I add the 
following items to my  Web site, I thought the following would be of 
interest to the QRP community.

A - Early days of solid state parts (a.k.a. RCA / GE Nostalgia) Bundle

Amazing what one finds in their parts collection.

B - SuperSCAF filter semikit

In April 1988, QST published a high performance audio filter called 
SuperSCAF (switched capacitor audio filter) that later was manufactured 
commercially as an accessory, used in the QRP Plus by Index Labs etc.

The heart of this audio filter were flexible, high performance AMI S3528 
(low pass) and S3529 (high pass) ICs. Within these chips is a 7th order 
elliptical filter , clock generator, programmable frequency divider and 
a pair of buffer amplifiers. Just a few external parts (e.g. capacitors, 
resistors and a 3.58MHz color-burst crystal)  were required.  A key
feature of the filter were the ability, using BCD rotary thumb wheel 
switches, to digitally select the filter cut-off frequencies and 
bandpass (i.e. 0327 = 300 - 2400 Hz, 0307 = 300 - 700 Hz etc.).  
Additionally, with the 7th order elliptical response, the attenuation 
was quite steep (greater than 50dB at 1.3 times cut-off frequency) 
producing a filter with a great shape factor.

I put together a semi-kit to build a low pass version of the SuperSCAF 
filter. Each kit includes a S3528B, a 4 1/2 digit BCD rotary thumb wheel 
switch and a 3.58 MHz crystal, you just add some capacitors, resistors 
and power.

Note that at 3200 Hz the 50 dB+ attenuation is 1.3 the selected cut-off 
frequency (figure 5) and for lower cut-offs, even better (figure 3).

The 4 1/2 digit BCD rotary thumb wheel switch is easily disassembled and 
re-combined into a 2 digit switch.

I might be able to come up with one S3529B hi pass chip to make a band 
pass filter.

I - Very nice Audio Amplifier Bundle

The Phillips TDA1015 is a monolithic integrated audio amplifier circuit 
in a 9-lead single in-line (SIL) plastic package. This device was 
especially designed for portable radio and recorder applications and
delivers up to 4 W in a 4 W load impedance. This unit will run from 3.6 
V to 18 V.

preamplifier and power amplifier offering a total gain of 52dB plus,

J - Another interesting Audio Amplifier Bundle

The MC34119 (8 pin DIP package) is a low distortion, low power audio 
amplifier integrated circuit that runs over a wide operating supply 
voltage range (2.0 V to 16 V). Features differential speaker outputs to
maximize output swing at low supply voltages (no output coupling 
capacitor required). Open loop gain is 80 dB, and the closed loop gain 
is set with two external resistors. Gain is adjustable from <0 dB to >46
dB for Voice Band. Additionally, capacitors can be included in the 
feedback loop to provide frequency band pass filter response (see Fig . 
24-25 in data sheet).
