Military BC-733-A glide-slope receiver, I think. Made by Western Electric with a 1942 contract date. Appears complete and original. Untested and as-is. $14

Multi-Elmac AF-67 transmitter in nice original shape with homebrew power supply that has been solid-stated. This AF-67 is working well crystal-controlled. But the homebrew supply does not supply power to the VFO so I was unable to test the VFO. I believe it is also working fine though. Good looking AF-67. With original manual. $135

Technical Materiel Corporation Antenna Coupler Model RAC-30. This is like an enormous center insulator. It has an SO-239 socket on one end and two huge ceramic insulated lug connectors, one on each side. Internally, it has some fancy coupling network inside it with 2 big non-inductive resistors (I think) and a potted network of some kind that can be jumpered to match 200 ohms or 700 ohms at the antenna terminals. Input impedance is 70 ohms. This looks like it was designed to handle MAJOR power. Built from 1/2 inch thick cast aluminum, this coupler measures 9 inches square by 6 inches deep. It weighs 16 pounds. The gasketed front cover is removable and clasps to hold it on are missing. Otherwise, it has a few scuffs and scrapes but I believe it is brand new. A plastic card inside the cover has a circuit diagram and TMC part numbers. Untested and as-is. What a beast! $59

Heathkit HM-2102 HF SWR/Wattmeter. Dirty on top but should clan up fine. Complete and original. $14

Homebrew power supply load for 0-30VDC. This uses big ceramic resistors in a cage with a cooling fan on the side. It is switchable for 3, 2, 1 or .5 ohms. Binding post connections. AC required for fan. I have used this a fair amount and it is a pretty useful shack accessory. $18

Regency ATC-1 Ham Bands Converter for AM Radios. Covers 80-10, all solid state and pretty cute. Tuning and band change both work as they should. But this is very dirty. Also there is one small ding in curve of the front panel. This could probably be very gently tapped out by someone who is careful. I tested this and it makes noise. But how well it is really working, I couldn’t say. As-is. $29

Gonset Super 6 ham bands converter for AM BCB. This appears to be all original. Very dirty with paint wear and 4 1/4 inch holes on top--no doubt used for under-dash mounting. Untested and as-is. $12

GWE III AM Transmitter, $389. This is in a 5 foot wooden rack--very pretty with many matching meters. It uses plug-in coils and puts about 120 watts. This TX tests out good on 40 meters but I have not tested the other bands. It was all built and used regularly by N3GWE, Ed Mantick. It was purchased by me in September, 2002 after Ed needed to sell it due to the onset of health problems. Final: 812, Exciter: 6AG7?s driving 807s, Modulator: 45s driving 809s, Power Supplies: Solid State. Ed’s original documentation and coils for all the pre-WARC bands go with it. This rig uses plug-in coils and a full set is included. Also included is Ed's modified Eico 722 VFO. Modifications to the Eico 722 include 6AH6 in place of 6AU6 and power supply changed to full wave rectifier using a better transformer. Repainted nicely with black case. Looks good. The VFO, like the TX, is working perfectly and quite stable after 20 minutes. $389. This is not shippable. Pick-up
 Only In Pittsburgh, PA.

Heath/Zenith 1984-vintage Novice course in vinyl binder with 2 cassette tapes. Looks like a good course. Very good condition or better. $9

Astatic DN-HZ microphone. This is in the best condition I have ever seen one of these. It looks close to brand new. Paint and chrome are almost perfect. This fits the same Astatic G mic stand commonly seen under a D-104 (but no stand is included with this mic). Untested and as-is. $39

Heathkit SB-630 station console. Matches the 301/401 etc. Beautiful shape and working well--even the clock works. $45

Ten-Tec Corsair (the original Corsair with the dark front panel) HF Transceiver with Ten-Tec PS and original manuals. This has one bad pull-out RF power switch. But unless you’re planning to run low power, you would never use the switch. Otherwise works fine. With original manuals, hand mic and paperwork. $225

National Rackmount HRO with rack, coil cabinet, power supply and speaker. This is an early pre‑war HRO, about 1936. It has 9 Coils: 50‑100kc, 100‑200kc, 175‑400kc, .5‑1.0mc, .9‑2.0mc, 1.7‑4.0mc, 3.5‑7.3mc, 7.0‑14.4mc,14.0‑30mc, with a wooden coil box for 3 coils. This has been repainted with Krylon satin black. The original crackle shows through pretty well and it doesn’t look bad at all. The receiver is untested. The speaker was re‑coned by Jackson speaker service. The Power supply was restored and tested by me in 2001. This is currently in an Altec PA system rack which is too small to include the power supply. Alternatively, I can supply an open-back black wrinkle desktop rack for it--but it is also too small to hold all the components. With
Original of newer HRO manual and Photocopy of older style.

            4‑58 or 6D6
            3‑57 OR 6C6
            1‑2B7 OR 6B7

2 Triad N-55M isolation transformers. Like new. Probably take a couple amps. Like New. $15 each.

General Radio W10MT3 Variac Autotransformer 0-140V, 10A. Near-mint. The finest example of the breed ever made. Comes with original copy of General Radio “Handbook of Voltage Control With The Variac Autotransformer.” This little treasure is a 40-page booklet published in 1963 by General Radio Company which "designed, patented, introduced and manufactured" the Variac sometime around 1933. It is in an 8.5 x x11 format. The booklet contains 12 pages on Theory and Principles, 19 pages on circuits using Variacs and 8 pages on specific Variac applications. All the GR Variac models are discussed in detail including connection diagrams and so forth. One section shows how to use Variacs in series and parallel applications (with the use of a choke to prevent current oscillation when the 2 Variacs' brushes are not perfectly synchronized). Motor-driven Variacs are also discussed. In short, this may be all you ever wanted to know (and then some) about the mighty
Variac. $115 for W10MT3 Variac with original GR booklet.

I have 2 reprint-quality copies of the GR booklet also available for $9.50 each PPD.

Military ME-440/USM-381 Voltmeter,  Large, portable voltmeter with built-in probes for measuring up to 6000V. Probes and accessories in lid. Looks very good. Untested and as-is. All solid state. $25

W3QNI Variable DC Load. This is a homebrew DC load for up to 2500V at up to 300ma. Was designed to use 2 211 tubes in parallel but no tubes are in it (go figure). Open-top chassis with the works exposed. With magazine article on variable DC loads.  $10

Original Twin Cities RTTY tuning unit from the Byron Kretzman RTTY Handbook, 1950’s, with tubes and filters, well-made, looks just like book, open chassis, no cabinet. $24

Another RTTY TU, larger and pretty sophisticated, nicely made by has had some repairs done, ask for picture. Open chassis, no cabinet. $24

Mars Bulletin Vol 2, No. II, December, 1951. $3

Collins Radio Company “Modern Communication Techniques” speech. This is a mimeographed speech copy attached to a letter on letterhead dated February 20, 1956. The letter says: “Dear Distributor: The attached speech, ‘Modern Communication Techniques’ is intended to promote a greater understanding of the theory and advantages of SSB. It was written by R. C. Miedke, design engineer and group head for Amateur equipment, and is given at hamfests and similar meetings.” The speech is accompanied by charts and graphs and how to do a two-tone test. Very interesting. $17

RCA Practical Color Television For The Service Industry, 1953, 1st ed., 2nd printing (1954), 60 page color book with fold-out schematic. Like New. I don’t know about you but my family didn’t get a color TV until 10 years after this book was printed… $9

RCA Victor Television Receivers service parts directories, 1953, 1955, 1956, 1957. $9

Curtis KB-4200  Morse Keyboard. This is the grand-daddy of them all. It’s 1974-vintage and I believe it is the first commercial Morse Keyboard. The later more keyboards all started out using the Curtis chip set. Selectable speed, buffer memory, etc. Looks great. It appears to work, but I can’t get it to play a side tone. With original sales brochure--I was never able to find the manual. I believe these are rare. I have never seen another one on the Internet or elsewhere. $69

HH Smith Code Practice Oscillator/Monitor. Tube type in the steel cabinet. $5

Lafayette TE-25 C-R Analyzer with original manual. This has transformer ratio measurement capability. Untested. $30
