Amen! Amen! to PayPal.

Let me provide the counterpoitnt here. I've been a happy PayPal user for
more than a few years and thousands of transactions. I've never had a
problem that wasn't resolved quickly to the satisfaction of all concerned.
As a buyer, PayPal has saved my bacon at least twice. As a seller, PayPal is
so reliable that it can't be beat.

Money orders can no longer be trusted now that we have color copiers. And
you've still got all those "the check is in the mail" guys out there who
really don't have the money for what they just committed to buy. PayPal does
a nice job of separating the men from those boys.

Are the fee high? Sure. Do you get what you pay for? Yes. For me, this is
enough.

I agree about deposits Bob but that is just a tiny extension of what your
bank already offers.

OTOH PayPal can remove any funds they wish from your account without even
notifying you until after the fact. Unlike a legitimate card company PP can
use any reason they want and do it at any time they please.

I make it a point to transfer funds in a PayPal only account daily into
another account that has no linkage. Without going into details I have
several bank accounts that I can toggle between if a scammer files a PP
claim. With no funds available PP cant access them and is forced to
negotiate on my terms. Any new funds go into another account and any
compromised account is closed and another opened. Ebay listings are moved to
another ID or three.

Its a nasty world out there and nothing is nastier than Ebay and PayPal.

Carl
