Well, except for the fact that PayPal is owned by EBay, you're right.
But what confuses me is that why would anyone join PayPal unless it's for an EBay transaction.
But you are absolutely right, I tied them together, not having read the earlier post. Me bad.
But the second part which explains how PayPal has the right of offset is highly applicable to any transaction, as in a private sale. True, some merchants take PayPal (although the only one I ever used has stopped taking it). Also the issue of how to get money from Paypal after they collect it for you is still right on.
