Hello again, Gang!
Well, this is the one I said I would "never" sell...no matter what. (pregnant pause) But I was wrong! You read my "sad story" (all true) in the ad for the FT-107M, and I won't ask you to endure that again. So here goes.
Somewhere around 1970 or 1971 I fell in love with the styling of the Realistic AX-190, Solid State, 11 Band Communications Receiver but just never got around to bringing one home. Until many years later...probably around 2002...then I could wait no longer.
The events which got me off dead center had mainly to do with a series of fine modifications that appeared in print in several major ham radio publications and the HUGE and definitive 71-page manual by Gregg Howe entitled "ALLIED, SERIES - 190, 3.3-30 MHZ, AM, CW & SSB COMMUNICATIONS RECEIVERS" with the jaw-breaking subtitle of "EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT THE AX-190 & SX-190, OPERATION AND GENERAL INFORMATION - SERVICE GUIDE - MODIFICATIONS - TECHNICAL TIPS - CONSUMER REPORTS & REVIEWS"
Whewww!!
Next I found (and snapped up!) the very receiver you are being offered today. It had ALL of the major modifications meticulously incorporated with the end result being one of the hottest receivers I've had the privilege of owning and operating. Plus, it is as close to MINT cosmetically as you will ever see. A real beauty by almost any criteria!
Requires external speaker unless you use headphones.
Comes complete with a great copy of the INSTRUCTION MANUAL, the superb Gregg Howe manual mentioned above, and several of the modification articles (you won't need them...the mods have already been done!)
But enough! It's time for YOU to have this honey in your shack!
