front end improved dynamic range and preamp usable for MW
audio is improved with increased output, lower distortion and wider bandwidth

spike protection inside the radio

the battery backup board has been replaced with a modern commercial verion that does not lose the firmware !
 
the wide and medium 455kHz filter are high end murata filters.
