For Sale:

Johnson Valiant - built in early 60's by me while in USN
up in Washington state.  Used very little while I was 
there, but it worked real good while signing W7ZQV/KG6
during my 'visit' to Guam.  Sat around not used for 
quite awhile as I was sent to places that I could not operate
after that.  Did get back on the air with the old girl in
late 70's while signing W7LPF/DU2 - and it was doing
super job until the day the gang landed on Spratley Is 
when the PS decided to go.  I ordered another one from
Johnson, and also ordered a HW-101 - and had that 
built and on the air before I got the replacement xfmr
and wiring harness for the Valiant - so it go little
use after it was back 'on-line'.  Anyway, it has been
just sitting and it is time for someone to give it a 
good home.  In all of the moves I have misplaced
one of the knobs, but will go on a search and destroy
mission to try and find it - I think it is in one of those
little drawers [that holds everything!!].  It will be
sold 'as-is', due to it being sitting for years - the 
inside looks good, so does the outside - it
does has a 'sticker' that my son put on the front of
it of 'Voltare' the warrior he used to watch in the
P.I.  [It also did great work when my oldest daughter
that was born on Guam, had colic and couldn't get
to sleep - would bring her by the operating posit
and she would lay there and fall asleep watching the
866A's glow as I keyed them].
Anyway, will offer it first as: Pickup only' - I will
not ship the unit [it is not in my best interest to pick
it up after having a humdinger of an hernia op this
past year].  If I cannot find local interest to pick up
then I will consider parting it out - maybe.
So - Price is $200.00 - w/spare 866A's and I have
some spare 6146's I think still left.  
I have the manual [assembly] that I used building
it - and also a real good repo of the manual that
I ordered years ago.
