DELL Latitude C400 with Dell External CD Drive.

1.2GHz PIII-M CPU, 512M RAM, 60G HDD. Weighs 3.8lbs

Works really well and is in daily use. The LCD hinge is a little loose
but works fine. The C400 is also Linux compatible.

We configured and tested this to interface with my Motorola e815 cell 
phone as a high speed Internet modem. It also handles my GPS unit and
a PCMCIA wireless nic.

We also used it as a network server and were able to serve 3 other 
computers via a hub/switch with the high speed Internet access via
the cellphone. Battery holds a charge but is used so no guarantees!

Note: The cellphone, GPS, and wireless nic are not included. Sorry.

PANASONIC CF-M32 8.4" LCD Compact Laptop w/External FDD.

Compact size is perfect for mobile apps.

This laptop works really well. CPU has been overclocked to 266MHz and 
runs cool there. Memory has been upgraded to 190MB. The USB port has 
been activated. 4G HDD (easily upgraded using any of three sizes of
laptop drives and no known limit to HDD capacity). Battery holds a
charge but is used so no guarantees!
