“Notes on Amateur Radio  Transmitter Design” compiled by James Millen  
Published by James Millen,  Inc,. Malden, Mass.  Copyright 1938 . Book is in old 
and worn condition.  Cover is discolored and has small tears. Some pages are 
becoming brittle and  beginning to crack.
CONTENTS lists: Exciters, Final Stages, Complete  Transmitters, Modulators, 
Power Supplies and Antennae.  A Separate section  includes “instruction manual 
for the new HRO Communications Receiver. This  includes schematic, tube layout 
and parts layout diagrams. Another section is  titled Special Instructions 
for the NC-101X RECEIVER, which includes schematic,  tube layout and parts 
layout diagrams. The final section is about 8 pages about  the National Cathode-Ray 
Oscilloscope type CRM.  There are also several  ‘catalog’ style pages of 
National products, including dialsReceiving condensers,  transmitting condensers, 
Receivers, Parts and Transmitter Foundation  Units.  Remember that due to it’
s age this book is extremely fragile and in  very worn condition.

Practical Amateur Radio Series and was published by “Radio” the National  
Magazine for Amateurs and Short-Wave Experimenters. Booklet is in aged  
condition-including fading and discoloration of all pages. A few pages have  small marks 
and the paper is fragile. Booklet includes articles on antennas,  design, 
construction and operation of 5 meter equipment and accessories.  Includes many 
circuit diagrams for projects.  Also shows schematics  to  5. to 200 meter 
Western Wireless Receiver, Harvey Radio Laboratories 5  meter transceiver  2 volt 
model, Harvey Radio Laboratories 5 meter  transceiver -6 volt model and 
Lafayette 5 meter transceiver.  Booklet  begins with articles about 5 meter 
antennas. Rear cover is advertisement for  Allied Radio.
