While not strictly a "mailing list" per se, I'm active in the
comp.sys.ibm.ps2.hardware newsgroup. It is one of the most international, and
friendly/helpful groups I have ever seen. Rarely do we see a flame war,
trolls, "net cops", etc. We often drift wildly off topic, have a lot of fun,
and no one seems to mind. If we get an off-topic question and someone knows
the answer, the question gets answered without complaint or browbeating. The
only real annoyance we have is the game console droids who find us thinking
that "ps2" refers to a Sony game console and post without reading some of the
content first, but even that has tapered off lately. And it's un-moderated!
There's even a couple of other hams who hang out there.
