[ForSale-Swap] Getting screwed via ebay

Lessened learned, shipping USPS is more risky than buying on ebay! I've
found that USPS tracking is worthless. I've received several USPS items
while the tracking still showed it electronically labeled but not received
for shipment. I only use FedEx Home Ground or Ground (not FedEx Express,
same co. but different services). Usually less expensive than UPS or USPS
for boxes and tracking is excellent.

I've had one that happened in January and it wasn't Ebay either. It was
from here.
SB 300 receiver. Allegedly from an estate. Guy made a deal with me for
it... a G5RV antenna and shipping costs for the receiver. I went out and
bought a brand new G5RV and shipped it to him along with 25 bucks to pay for
shipping of the receiver from Alaska to here. Regular parcel post from
Alaska supposed to take about six weeks since it is sent to the lower 48 by
boat... That was back in January and here it is now the middle of April and
no sign of the receiver. Sent an email inquiring ... he claimed he took
it to the post office. Even named the postmaster there in Alaska where he
lives...

Still come home from work each day just hoping that MAYBE there will be a
box with an SB 300 receiver waiting for me. But ... not yet. I don't
really expect it to show up anymore .... despite tales of post cards sent
in World War 2 occasionally still showing up in someones mail box.
