For what it's worth.

I worked on a 2970 ...that was the 2950 with a pretty case with lots of 
knobs and oh yeah , it made 100 watts on a CB wattmeter.........almost 
half of it on 54 Mhz!
They were a CB discuised as a high powered 10 meter rig and made to be 
easily modified....and unmodified.
If you use it , make sure to place a Low Pass filter on the output.
