This is an updated and expanded version of my prior
posting.

I have for sale three (3) Force-12 80-meter verticals,
model number EF-180BV. I scanned the description and
a drawing from the manual. They are posted at the
following URL

I added a 6 ft ¼-inch rod to make each antenna a bit
longer.

These are very strong antennas that do not require
guying when ground-mounted. If you elevate the
antennas, as I did, the support will need to be guyed.

Two of the antennas are in perfect condition. One of
the antennas was stuck by a (large) falling branch and
the two upper tubing sections and the ¼-inch rod are
bent. Replacement requires three sections: 0.5-inch
by 4 ft, .375 inch by 3 ft., and ¼-inch rod by 6 ft.

In addition, each antenna includes a PVC weather-proof
enclosure containing a matching coil and 24 vdc relay
for switching between the phone and CW segments. The
coils are heavy duty Airdux stock, and the relays are
also heavy duty, open-frame construction. Each
antenna also includes 4 large porcelain standoff
insulators (approx 4 inches by 2 inches) that I used
to mount a radial attachment ring. Hardware that I
received from Force-12 and didn’t use is also
included.

The tubing sections are joined by rivets, so some
disassembly effort is required ON YOUR PART.
I will help with disassembly, but I will not ship.
The antennas must be picked up at my QTH in Oak Ridge,
TN (Knoxville area).

I’m asking $175 for each of the two perfect antennas
and $125 for the one that requires maybe $25 in new
tubing.

This is a great opportunity to put up two or three
verticals in phase for a fraction of what new antennas
would cost. Yes, they’ve been up for 8 (?) years, but
neither aluminum nor fiberglass is harmed much by the
exposure.

Someone asked how well the antennas worked. I invite
you to check my 80M DXCC record. My total stands at
323 confirmed. Some were worked on a high dipole and
some on a loop, but lots were worked using the
verticals and a Comtek phasing box.

Additional information gladly provided. Pleae contact
me directly (off of the reflector).
