I have four antennas that are now extras. They were all
working before being taken down about a month ago. I
replaced them with broadband dipoles.
They are homemade. RG62 is used for antenna wire and the
insulators (middle and end) are made from PVC plate. The
PVC has been tested and is safe to use around RF.
The 40 meter nvis dipole has about 50 feet of feedline. The
other antennas are without feedline.
1. 40 meter NVIS dipole covers all of 40 meters but cut for
the lower CW portion on the band. This antenna was trimmed
for minimum SWR after being installed with the ends up at 7
feet and the center up at 10 feet. It worked well out to
about 300 miles or so.
2. 40 meter loop. Full wavelength loop. It was installed
as a right angle loop and fed at the side for vertical
polarization. Good DX antenna. Works better than any
vertical i have tried and needs no radials. Needs a center
support at 50 feet to keep the corners 15 feet off the
ground. That is they way I was using it.
3. 40/80 meter trap dipole. Homemade traps with center freq
at 7.2mhz. 80 meter section is trimmed for minimum SWR at
3.977 mhz. 40 meter section covers entire 40 meter band.
Was also used effectively on 20 meters. Center up at 50
feet installed as an inverted vee. Traps are made from RG62
coax, are about 10 years old, and work fine at power levels
up to 800 watts. That is as high as I ran them.
4. 80 meter bazooka. Also made from RG62. Not quite as
broadband as desired. 2:1 SWR points at 3.65 to 4.00 mhz.
Somewhat better than a standard dipole but just not enough
for me. Mount as inverted vee and use detachable wire
extensions to convert from 80 to 75.
All four of these antennas are used. Asking $10 each plus
shipping. Estimate shipping could be another $10.
