Thanks for asking.

This is the 2nd year for the 'fest.  Last year the club in Macon sponsored
it, but this year there are 5 clubs helping to publicize it and attract
folks from a larger area. 

It is a tailgate/BYO table type event... no vendors at this stage of the
game.  Last year it was small but very successful... about 35 sellers and
about 300 folks in attendance.  We're thinking it'll be quite a bit bigger
this year... the get-the-word-out campaign is much more active and is
getting started earlier.  Also, this year there will be an ad in QST.  We'll
also have a special event station (callsign TBD) this year.  

My own assessment (as an attendee, rather than a supporter) last year that
it was quite good, especially for a small-ish event.  The equipment was
decent... no junk to speak of, and the prices were fair.  I really do think
this year will be better.

No website as of yet, but that's a great idea... I'll bring it up to the
guys who are REALLY working publicity.  

Also, this is a great opportunity to stop by the Museum at Robins AFB and
take a look at some pretty cool aviation displays.

I gather that this is in the Macon, GA area.

Is this the first year for this hamfest?  If not, how many hams have
attended in past years?  How many commercial vendors?  Tailgaters?

Do you have a web page with info anyplace?
