Folks,

First off: Bill, putt knot you're faye thin spill chuckers.  <G>

Second: If you (generic) want to be insulted by being called a lolo haole, so
be insulted.  But if you want to get a better understanding of the local
culture and why even us transplant haoles don't have a problem with it, then
contact me off list.

Third:  Yes, I chose to move to Hawaii from "good old" Pennsylvania.  I did so
knowing about the higher shipping amounts and a lot of other things, as did
most transplants I know.  And I did so in large part because Hawaii is both
veteran and senior friendly, and I'm an older 100% disabled (service connected)
veteran.  Pennsylvania is ... well, that's subject for another off list
discussion.

Fourth: Zones are determined by the distance from the sender's location to the
destination and will vary from locale to locale.  As I said, I'm Zone 8 from
everywhere so that's pretty easy.  I know I am and I know the charges will
reflect that.  Big deal.

Fifth: Local Pickup Only ... the only thing I've seen that I wanted like that
was a bit outside my budget and wouldn't have fitted my apartment - not that it
would belong in here anyway.  It was a fully restored M-38A1 Jeep, which would
have been a delight to drive across the country before putting it on a ship
here.

Okay, I'm done.  Anyone want to continue this, do so off list so those who want
to actually buy, sell, swap or otherwise exchange goodies, toys, treasures,
junque, stuff, rigs, rags (to chew on the newly acquired rigs), straight keys,
bent keys, bugs of a number of species, antennae of any of a great variety of
directions and/or dimensions (and/or ethnic origins), and any and all sundry
items not covered by the aforementioned list however still more or less on
topic may do so unmolested.  More or less.
