Tektronix Type W  Plug-In Unit

High Gain Differential Comparator


Greeting's All,

 Can any one shed some light on a two-tube device used in the Tektronix 
plug-in.
It's a small oblong device mounted on a floating sub chassis and appears
tube house two RCA Nuvistor tubes. I was able to remove the tubes from
their holder; the only markings are as follows.

 RCA Nuvistor   5-48 ( date code I think )

 167 079 (printed in ink on the top)
 
 8056 330 (stamped into the metal on top)

 Dose Anyone have a way of or know what tubes this is. Any and all help
will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
