The Datong Model FL3 Multimode Audio Filter connects between your receiver or transceiver and speaker. It provides adjustable selectivity tailored to suit reception of SSB, CW, RTTY, SSTV and AM signals. Applications include removal of "splatter" or "monkey chatter" interference to SSB reception, removal of heterodyne interference to SSB or AM, true single-signal CW reception, optimal bandwidth selection for RTTY and SSTV reception and DX AM broadcast reception.

Each of the three filters incorporated into the FL3 is continuously tunable from 200 to 3500 Hz. Tuning is by voltage control and precision tracking between the three filters allows them to be used ganged together or independently. There is also included an auto-notch feature which, when selected, reduces interference from unwanted carriers.

The filter requires an external power supply between 10 and 20 volts DC at 350mA maximum. Instructions and specifications will be included for the Model FL2 which is the same except the FL3 also includes the auto-notch feature. E-mail me with any questions or if you would like pictures.

The filter is in good cosmetic condition except for some light scratches on the case.
