You will have to look very long and very hard to find a nicer Hallicrafters
S85 General Coverage Receiver.  This unit is about as close to new as you
will find unless the radio was stored in the original box for 40 years.
This radio is super clean inside and out.  You will find some very minor
surface scuffs here and there but you almost need a magnifying glass to see
them.  Also this radio seems to work fine.  All knobs are correct and
perfect. Bandspread dial needs to be re-strung.  Please do not hesitate to

I bought this radio in an effort to re-create my 1954 Novice station, but
was not able to obtain the rest of the equipment to complete the project, so
I have reluctantly abondoned the effort.
