Hi All:
It's time to get rid of some stuff that's been following me around for the
past 30 years. I've been saving this stuff for a bunch of projects that
will never be, so it's someone else's turn to take custody of it. I'm not
currently mad at my kids, so I'm not going to leave it behind for them to
fight over who gets to bring it to the dump after I'm gone. So here goes,
all available for pickup in Vernon, NJ:
Assorted iron, including power transformers and chokes (approximately 30
pieces, big and small). A sample of what's included:
2 ea Motorola p/n 19c307137-1 pwr xfmr, 360 VAC w/170 V tap; 270 VAC w/250 V
tap; 42-0-42 and 28-0-28 windings
2 ea Motorola p/n 25d84561a01 pwr xfmr, pulled from TPN1068 and TPN1042
power supples (from Motrac VHF repeater)
1 ea Sterling 2k6 xfmr
1 ea Kenyon s-13336 xfmr, 2500 VAC, 6.3 V @ 6 A, 2.5 V @ 1.75 A
2 ea Motorola p/n 19b209277p1 xfmr, 10 VCT & 8 V windings
1 ea Thordarson T-46248 6.3 VAC @ 10 A
1 ea military type xfmr, 330 VDC @ 85 mA with 5y3 rect. and 2.5 uF input
capacitor; 5 V @ 2 A; 6.3 V @ 7.5 A; 6.3 V @ 0.3 A
Assorted other stuff:
1 ea Precision 10-54 tube tester with manual and charts, not working. This
has been modified by a prior owner: one the tube sockets has been replaced
with a Compactron socket, and the meter has been replaced with a generic
panel meter.
1 ea TS-173/UR late-WWII vintage frequency meter, covers 90 to 450 MHz.
Similar in mechanical design and operation to the BC-221 meter. In
repainted (ugly) metal case with internal AC power supply. Comes with
original calibration book. Not working, gives off loud 60-cycle hum when
turned on (if you don't know what causes that, you're not qualified to have
ANY of this stuff; you might hurt yourself).
1 ea Power-One HC48-1-A open frame power supply, 48 VDC @ 1 A
Please don't ask me for a complete inventory, or to test any of this stuff.
I just don't have the time (or the inclination, since I'm giving it away).
Also, if any piece of info is missing, it's because I don't know it (for
example, current ratings of certain xfmrs above). In fact, I'd prefer that
you don't ask me anything other than for directions, and when you can come
pick it up.
OK, now for the conditions (you didn't think you could have free stuff
without conditions, did you?). I'd really like for one person to come and
get all of this stuff. I'm not inclined to deal with a whole bunch of
people who each want one or two pieces, so if you want only one piece you
can have it, just as long as you take everything else with it. I'm not
interested in giving directions to 10 people and then sitting at home 10
times waiting for people to show up. Also, no "shoppers" please. Be
forewarned that if you set foot on my property for any purpose that's
related to this post, you will be permitted to leave only if you take
everything with you. Finally, no haggling. It's free, get it? I've sold
stuff at hamfests. I know how hams like to haggle over $0.03 items. I
generally spend more on Maalox and Tylenol after the fest than I collect
from selling stuff. I'm not in the mood to buy medication because of
giveaway stuff.
Finally, I'd like a commitment within a week, and pickup within two weeks.
If there are no takers within a week, interested parties can e-mail me for
driving directions to the Sussex County, NJ Municipal Utilities Authority
landfill where you can pick it up while waving off the gulls.
Thanx for reading the rant (I'm getting ready for Hamfest Season).
73,
Jim
