... homebrew from a QST or CQ article in the 1950's or 1960's (? I know I've 
seen an article or Handbook entry about it somewhere along the line). In a 
black crinkle-finish case in good condition, approximately 2" x 3.5" x 6" 
with binding posts for "RF IN" and "LOAD". Construction is what I would call 
good average, not spectacular but not "hot nail" soldering either. I can't 
recall offhand how, when (it's been a while), or where I came into possession 
of it so sorry, no history as to its previous owner/constructor. I did try it 
with an MFJ SWR analyzer as a signal source, got a tiny bit of meter reading 
but I think it needed more level than the MFJ could provide.
