Antenna Baluns For Sale:
A Balun is designed to match an unbalanced coaxial
cable, to a balanced antenna, such as a beam or dipole.
Hy-Gain BN-86 (1 to 1 ratio)
It is a broadband 50 Ohm ferrite balun, and is usable
from 3 to 30 MHz. It is recommended for all HF Yagi beam
antennas and provides improved front-to-back ratio. It can
also be used as the center insulator for a dipole. It uses an
SO-239 connector. This one is "pre-MFJ", made by HyGain,
and is in nice shape. These cost $80 new, but you can have
this one for only $45.
Bencher ZA-1 A
This is a 1 to 1 balun that can be used as the center insulator
for a dipole, or can be attached to a beam. It is in very
nice condition. $30
W2AU Balun (1 to 1 ratio)
Information from their web site:
The W2AU is the preferred Balun of Amateurs worldwide.
W2AU's operate at 1.1:1 or less VSWR from 1.8 to 40 mHz,
and handle powers up to 2 KW PEP (at SWRs of less than 3:1).
W2AU Baluns are transformer designs with ferrite cores to
provide 95% minimum coupling efficiency. Each has a built-in
lightning arrestor, hang up hook, and 600 lbs of pull-apart
strength in a weatherized, rugged package using only stainless
steel hardware and quality materials. The 1:1 matches 50 or 75
ohm unbalanced coax to 50 or 75 ohm balanced dipoles.
This one is new, in its box, with paper work for $20.
Hi-Q Balun (4 to 1 ratio)
Similar to above, but with 4 to 1 ratio, so 75 ohm coax is
matched to 300 ohm balanced line. This one has not been
Used. $18
Prices do not include shipping from Florida.
Thanks.
