Just add the UT-102 speech module. It ONLY speaks the S-meter level, frequency
and sometimes the mode. Not the menus!
Then add the W2FS, John Hansen, Millennium QSYER external keypad for direct
frequency entry. One simple calbe that plugs into the transceiver data jack.
Changes freq and mode automatically, and much much more. For a cost of about
$150 total, a blind person cna do just fine with the Icom 756. I know, I have
done it for six years.

Subject: [ForSale-Swap] Swap: Icom 756 (not a Pro) for ???
Date: Friday, July 09, 2004 12:27 PM
Hello
I have an Icom 756 (not a Pro) which I am thinking of putting up for
swap. It is in perfect working order with no display problems. I have
poor vision though and want to get soemthing that doesn't have to work
with so many menus. I would like to get maybe an Icom 765, Yaesu 990 or
920, or whatever. Please email me off the list and let me know what you
might have for swapping. Thanks!
73,
Renee NZ9T
