Hi to all... Have been to Batlabs and found that recently donated gear for
the US Army MARS program here in Oregon needs a hand to be working...
I have two Syntor and two Syntor X 100 watt VHF Military band radios.
Problem is, Batlabs says the Eprom chips for them are no longer made or
available from Mot-o-rola/Ericsson.
Are there any retired radio shop folks out there that do have some of
the
Syntor Chips? I have the software from Batlabs to program them, and even
have access to a chip-burner to do so... But, need the chips. Anyone have
about 6 to 8 of them around? I know of the 'mod' to replace the chips with
an EEPROM (PIC16 series) chip and board, but would prefer something
that cannot be erased by accident or design.
